AutoAspect
Broadcast Pix, who redefined the production switcher to include graphics, clips and monitoring, now becomes the first switcher to include aspect ratio management as standard equipment. New AutoAspect lets 16:9 and 4:3 inputs, clips and graphics be used interchangeably and mixed together in the same production, while maintaining the aspect ratio of each, and can be extended to simultaneously output both sizes.

PixButtons
At the heart of the unified control system of the Broadcast Pix
Switcher are the unique PixButtons. They provide streamlined control of
all tools, sources and keyers. Each has a display built into the
button. At the top of each PixButton is an icon, which shows which
device it is operating. Many buttons also tell which device is active,
and their color tells if they are on-air, on preview or off.

Unprecendented Upgradeability

With Slate, you can grow as your needs grow. A low cost Slate 100 SDcan upgrade all the way to a 2 M/E Slate 5032 HD. Slate non-G systemscan upgrade to the Slate G Series, and then on to 3G 1080p/60.Conventional HD switchers are not upgradeable to 3G, so someday theywill need to be replaced to support the emerging 3G standard. BroadcastPix gracefully takes you to the future.
