Remote Control

Broadcast Pix has a variety of remote control installations, ranging from one control room controlling a studio 40 miles away, to a central control room controlling 12 studios all over North America.

This system illustrated below has 3 remote studios, that are all controlled from one single control room. The studios can be geographically dispersed across one major city, or across the entire country. The centralized control room enables savings in staffing.

In this installation the Broadcast Pix workstation and Break-out-Box are located in each studio, and control panels and monitors are located in one central control room. Each camera has remote control, so the control room operators have control over camera position, focus, zoom, etc.

The control room is connected to each studio with a DSL line. Each studio also has a dedicated T1 line to send video over IP, specifically the program and preview output. The control room has two panels, either of which can control any of the 3 remote studios by selecting its Internet address.
