Common Situations:

Missing RAM in Windows System Properties

Symptoms:
The Broadcast Pix G Series Systems are advertised as having 4 GB of RAM Memory installed, but in the Windows System Properties Window, less than 4 GB is visible.  Usually somewhere between 1.4 GB and 3.2 GB is shown as being installed.

This is a common problem with Windows 32-bit edition platforms, which the Broadcast Pix runs on.  On 32-bit Windows platforms, there is a maximum hard-coded into the software, therefore even if you have more than 2 or 3 GB's of RAM installed, it will still show up as less than 4 GB.

Here is a screenshot of one of our G Series systems that has recently shiped with 4 GBs of RAM Memory installed.

Despite only showing 3 GBs, Windows is still utilizing more than the visible amount of RAM Memory when it is running the Broadcast Pix Application.
