The Slate Desktop control surface uses a custom keyboard, mouse or touch-screen to put everything at your fingertips, and provides the most powerful heads-up display in the industry.
The customized displays are more than just a multi-view - it is a Fluent-View™, since it is fluent in cameras, clips and graphics, as well as key layers to give you exceptional feedback.
The tactile control is also fluent in video and files. Get instant access to video and files. Device controls let you command clips, animations, CG pages, stills, key layers, cameras and streamers. You can even drive the system from your laptop, iPad or Android device.
2. Powerful Integrated Switcher, Clip Store, CG and device control
The revolutionary control surface taps into powerful devices inside the Slate System:
- Switcher: The hybrid switcher has 4 or 8 SD SDI or analog inputs, and 4 or 5 outputs, with framesync on every input. Optional I/O can be HD SDI and DVI. With 3 or 6 keys and DVEs, go ahead and pile on layers of Picture-in-Picture boxes, graphics, and animations. Recalls of CG pages, clips, files, keys and even camera moves can be set in a Fluent Macro, to add one-button magic to your production. And very low delay means great live events.
- Clip Store: The integrated dual channel Clip Store offers up to 120 hours of clips and animations with audio, key, in H.264, ProRes, DV and DVCPRO formats. Clips auto-start on transition, and can auto-advance to the next clip.
- Graphics: Every production needs titles, and Slate Desktop includes a broadcast-quality Harris CG. Fill four channels of graphic stores from your CG or import graphics from anywhere.

VOX™ automated video production is a revolutionary 1 RU panel option
for Granite, Mica and Slate. VOX eliminates the need for a technical
director during many live video productions, as it detects which
microphone is active, switches to that camera, and triggers Fluent
Macros assigned to that microphone. The VOX box controls 8 microphones.
For larger events, multiple boxes can cascade to accommodate up to 104
microphones.

and device control knobs to remotely control position, zoom, focus, iris

with shift for 16 inputs. It adds device controls for the graphics
system, clips store, etc. It also features PixButtons, which dynamically

loaded, so you can tell at a glance what is loaded on every input, key,
and file library button.
